Until now, if someone were to ask me what drives more readers to my blog, I would have said, ‘its quality content.’ But my opinion has changed somewhat. The reason for the change in opinion is not one, but hundreds of blogs with extra ordinary content, all lying buried under thousands of websites. The readers never reach them because their authors failed to understand search engines. So now, the equation stands like this. If you want more readers to come to your blog, its SEO enabled quality content that will do the trick for you. I am sure that this has got the alarm bells ringing in many a mind. ‘Hey, I haven’t tweaked my blog for SEO yet. How do I do it?’ Do not worry. You are not the only one who is unaware of tweaking blogs for SEO. In fact there are a huge number of people out there who are unaware of it.
SEO tips for serious bloggers
If you are a serious blogger, then the three tips mentioned below should be enough to get some decent traffic into your blogs. From there on, it depends on the quality of your blog and your interaction level.
In bound Links: This is the magic pill that will send your ranking sky high. But it doesn’t come easy and fast. You have to toil for it. Start by looking for blogs relevant to your subject that is ranked higher than yours. Now, write a quality post as a reply to one of their topics and leave a link to your blog. It should work if you have good content on your blog. Please do not spam other bloggers asking to link you.
Content: Okay, so you have managed to get a few good bloggers come to your blog. What is actually going to make them link to your blog? It’s the content on your page. So ensure that you write quality content. Keep an eye on keywords.
Update: I have seen many a blog with a quality topic that starts to stagnate after some time due to lack of updating. You don’t want that to happen. So update regularly.
